Every once in awhile Amazon hosts an awesome book and game deal where you can get three items for the price of two. There are always great items on the list, and I know many people wait for these deals to come around to order things that have been on their wish list.
You can browse on your own here, but below you’ll find my top picks of books and games that are part of the deal this time around.
I am SO EXCITED about the deal this time around because there are a TON of great books on there. I think this is the best selection I’ve ever seen!!!!
toddlers and littles
(If you are looking to build your picture and board book library, there are a bunch of great options. Search “picture books” or “board books” in the search bar where it says “search qualifying items.” But here are several classics to get you started.)
Mercy Watson Boxed Set by Kate DiCamillo. Hilarious little piggie and very fun reads! Also, great early chapter books!
Little Pilgrim’s Progress by Helen Taylor, Illustrated by Joe Sutphin. This is an excellent twist on a great classic. I think it’s a great addition to a family library for sure! Highly recommend!
The Sophie Mouse Collection. This is a fantastic early readers set! E loves these books! You can get this boxed set, or you can also buy the titles separately. (But not all of the titles are part of the deal. You’ll have to sift through them.)
The Secret of the Hidden Scrolls (boxed set) by M. J. Thomas. We got these for E for Christmas this past year, and she absolutely LOVES them! They are great for all readers, but may be a good option to pique the interest of early readers.
The Golden Goblet by Eloise Jarvis McGraw. This is one of our favorites so far this year!
The Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth George Speare. Love this author. Every book I’ve read by her has been excellent and clean.
A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park. This is a must read for middles. Might be a little too overwhelming for littles. But I’d highly recommend this as a read aloud. There are so many great talking points! This one could also fit well under the adults and teens books too.
Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. Excellent read, but I think there is a few instances of language if I remember correctly. Check the book list for more details. Another that would be good for teens.
Night by Elie Wiesel. A very moving book, but some language. Read my review here.
Red Scarf Girl by Ji-Li Jiang. Another moving story, but again, some language. You can read my review of it on the book list.
Evidence Not Seen by Darlene Deibler Rose. A life-long favorite and one I’ve read many times over.
Unbroken (Young Adult Version) by Laura Hillenbrand. The adult version is part of this deal too, but the young adult version will be cleaned up and more appropriate for teens.
Historical Fiction
The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare. This is another favorite! Excellent for teen girls. Also, it’s not about a witch. Don’t let the title scare you away. Read more about it here.
Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate. Ok. I couldn’t put this one down. It’s another favorite from this year. You can read more of my thought here.
The Giver by Lois Lowry. Surprise! This is our book for the August book club! Grab it here so you’re ready!!! It’s a fascinating read and it will really make you think! Read a more detailed review on the book list.
I Can’t Believe You Just Said That by Ginger Hubbard. Possibly one of the most practical parenting books I’ve ever read. And so incredibly helpful! Find out more here.
M is for Mama by Abbie Halberstadt. This is an excellent book. If you’re interested in the penny rewards system, there is a whole chapter about it in this book.
Live Not By Lies by Rod Dreher. A must-read for Christian homes.
Secular Self-Development
Atomic Habits by James Clear. This is one of THE BEST habit books out there.
The Lazy Genius Way by Kendra Adachi. Highly recommend this book. So many practical ideas you can implement right away! And we’re going through it in the book club right now! So if you love it so much that you want it in your library, now is the time to get it!
The Lazy Genius Kitchen by Kendra Adachi. Apply all the lazy genius principles to your kitchen. Another excellent, practical book.
Jim Trelease’s Read-Aloud Handbook by Jim Trelease. Excellent advice and encouragement for having your home filled with reading aloud and books galore!
Actvities and Games
The first few are several we have and love. The last few are what I’ve got my eye on for later!
This is one of the most exciting deals to post about throughout the year. If you grab something for yourself or your kiddos, let me know what you get!
Most of the links here are Amazon affiliate links. If used to make a purchase, I will receive a small commission from Amazon at no extra cost to you! So THANK YOU!
