Introduction to Circadian Rhythm

I’ve officially been “doing Circadian Rhythm” for 16 months. I started in October of 2023 with two things in particular: watching the sunrise every single day and no screens or blue light when it was dark.

I promised myself that I would commit to this for a short time to see if it did anything for me, and then I would decide if I would continue this craziness or not.

Well, here I am 16 months later having never missed a sunrise (except for one when I was on a plane), and feeling GOOD!

My Health Before Circadian Rhythm

Let me back up a little bit.

I have spent the last several years of my life SO SICK. But nothing the doctors could figure out. I was diagnosed with unexplainable secondary infertility, auto-immune response, hypoglycemia, dysbiosis, leaky gut, and a host of other seemingly unrelated issues.

I had a laundry list of symptoms that I’ll list here because I know you may relate with at least some of these!

  • 10+ years infertility
  • 15+ years of chronic constipation
  • 5+ years of hair loss
  • heart palpitations
  • gerd
  • dizziness
  • weight gain and couldn’t lose no matter what I did
  • seasons of anxiety and depression
  • extreme fatigue
  • no energy or strength
  • irregular periods
  • low libido
  • unpleasant PMS
  • blood sugar issues particularly with my eyes
  • a body odor of copper. (So weird!)

I tried everything—including all the diets, all the workouts, the counting proteins, watching macros. I tried the metabolic eating lifestyle. I went to nutritionists, infertility specialists, functional med doctors. Not one of them mentioned cellular health….not one!

Discovering Circadian Rhythm

However, back in October 2023, a sweet girl on Instagram reached out to me and asked if I had ever heard of Circadian Rhythm. She had been trying it for the last several months. All of her hormonal issues cleared up, she lost 40 pounds, and she even got pregnant!

I had never heard of Circadian Rhythm before, but I was intrigued. If some sweet lady on the internet was willing to reach out to someone she didn’t even know to tell me how life-changing it was, I was ready to listen. I was willing to try anything…especially if it was FREE!

I had a ton of questions, and she patiently answered them all. She directed me to a couple of Instagram accounts to check out. I paid for several courses, did a ton of research and watched several YouTube videos, and I. WAS. SOLD!

I started right away, and within A FEW DAYS (!!!), my sleep began improving. I didn’t even realize I wasn’t sleeping well! But I began falling asleep within minutes of laying my head on my pillow, and waking up without an alarm, well refreshed and rested. As time went on, I completely stopped needing naps in the afternoon! This is insane! I was taking at least one nap if not two or three every single day!

Over the course of a year, almost every single one of those symptoms disappeared!!! About 6 months in, I started dropping the stubborn weight. (Again, I wasn’t changing too much with my diet either.)

After a year, I had three things left…the things that had been with me the longest…constipation, hair loss, and getting pregnant!

13-14 months in, and 20 pounds lighter, my gut started healing, and my bowel movements became more regular. (Huge win as I had only been going about once a week!!!) Reflections on Health and Faith

My body is practically healed!!!! My hormones are leveled out just because of a few lifestyle changes, (and not very much money!) I am so grateful every single day! I owe my health to the Lord, and I’m so thankful that he prompted that one little gal to reach out to a random stranger on the internet. (So thankful for you Jenn!) What an amazing answer to prayer!

A Christian Perspective on Circadian Health

I was so amazed at the results, I wrote an e-guide to Circadian health particularly from a Christian perspective. One thing I noticed in my research, is that you have to weed through a lot of evolution and Mysticism. But when I looked at it with a Biblical perspective, all I can see is how awesome our God is!

Praise the Lord, that even in our world’s fallen state, His creation can STILL heal and sustain our health! All glory to Him!!!!
